Question 1

What is a Purple pillow?

Accepted Answer

A Purple pillow is a pillow made with the same GelFlex Grid material used in Purple mattresses, a soft, stretchy gel that flexes under pressure and keeps its shape. The grid design creates open air channels for cooling and supports the head and neck without the sinking or flattening common with foam or down pillows. Purple also offers hybrid pillows that combine the grid with adjustable fill.

Question 2

Is a Purple pillow good for side sleepers?

Accepted Answer

Yes, side sleepers generally do well with a Purple pillow because the GelFlex Grid provides firm, consistent support that keeps the neck aligned with the spine. Side sleepers usually need a taller pillow, and Purple offers boosters or adjustable-height options to add loft. Back sleepers can typically use a lower height, and stomach sleepers may prefer the softest, lowest option.

Question 3

Does a Purple pillow sleep cool?

Accepted Answer

A Purple pillow is one of the cooler pillow options because the GelFlex Grid is mostly open space, so air moves freely through it rather than being trapped in dense foam. The gel material itself stays close to room temperature and does not hold body heat. Hot sleepers who find memory foam pillows too warm often notice a clear difference.

Question 4

Which Purple pillow is best for me?

Accepted Answer

The original Purple pillow has a firm, supportive grid feel that suits back and side sleepers who want steady support. Purple's hybrid pillows pair the grid with plush or adjustable fill for a more traditional, cushioned feel, and some models let sleepers add or remove layers to change the height. Sleep position and preferred pillow height are the two biggest factors in choosing.

Question 5

How do you wash a Purple pillow?

Accepted Answer

The GelFlex Grid in a Purple pillow can be washed by hand with mild soap and warm water, then air dried, while the outer cover is typically removable and machine washable on a gentle cycle. The grid should never go in the dryer, since heat can damage the material. Mattress Warehouse carries Purple pillows so shoppers can feel the grid in person before choosing a model.
